With the Jacksonville Jaguars adding tight end Brenton Strange back to the 53-man roster last week, the team depth chart has been updated.
While we should always take these depth charts with a grain of salt, there are a few notes to make on each side of the ball, given the latest playing time developments.

- Dyami Brown's role continues to shrink. This past Sunday, he played just four offensive snaps -- a season low. Although not listed this way on the Jaguars' depth chart, he is behind Tim Patrick in terms of snaps, and when Brian Thomas Jr. returns, Brown's playing time may be nonexistent.
- The Jaguars have been leaning into their usage of two tight end sets. So even with Strange back, there was plenty of playing time for Johnny Mundt and Quintin Morris, who played 30 snaps and 20 snaps, respectively, in Arizona. Once Hunter Long is back in the mix, it will be interesting to see how playing time shakes out between those three.
- It's clear that Cole Van Lanen is the Jaguars' top backup guard and tackle. In recent weeks, he's started at left guard and right tackle. This week, Patrick Mekari has not practiced the first two days -- so could we see Van Lanen at right guard this week?

- At defensive end without Travon Walker, Dennis Gardeck was No. 2 in snaps behind Josh Hines-Allen. Danny Striggow and BJ Green are both seeing more playing time as of late, while Emmanuel Ogbah's role has been reduced.
- Then, at defensive tackle, Dawuane Smoot was third on the team in interior snaps, behind Arik Armstead and DaVon Hamilton. Maason Smith was just behind Smoot in terms of snaps.
- Rayuan Lane played a career high 26 defensive snaps in Arizona. Defensive coordinator Anthony Campanile likes to use three-safety looks.
- The cornerback position is getting closer to being back at full strength. Jourdan Lewis was a full participant during the first two days of practice, while Greg Newsome isn't on the injury report.
