Let the anger flow through you

FTRS Picks 2025 Week 14: Hate WeekStory byLogan SandorMon, November 24, 2025 at 1:00 PM UTC·10 min read

Pick results summary here. The top pickers from last week were Gtbadcarma and @LeeNobody who both correctly picked 8 games out of 11 games. Great job guys! donkeygoatrunner remains in the overall lead with 92 correct picks. This is the last week of the regular season and we have 30 picks this week so lets see if anything changes on the leader board before championship week.

So… that could’ve gone better. That was a brutally embarrassing loss in our last home game of the year. It kind of makes it worse when you look at how close we were to a comeback, but throwing a pick 6 in the endzone combined with giving Pitt a 28-0 lead to start the game ended up being an insurmountable hurdle for us. I want to thank the fans for showing up and sticking around after the horrible start, I wouldn’t have blamed anyone for leaving after the first quarter, but it seemed like most of our fans were in it for the long haul.

I’m trying to keep things in perspective, mostly as a way to cope. We’re still 9-2, it’s still the best season in a long time, and I still feel confident in Key’s ability to keep building the program; but man, it sucks being so close to a legendary season only to fall apart right at the end. We’re technically not out of the running with make the ACC championship, but at this point even if we made that game I don’t know if we would stand a chance at winning.

Anyway, time to move on. I know it’s hard to find motivation after last week, but it is time again for us to pour our unbridled rage into our last game of the season. uga looks like an unstoppable force. I’m not expecting a win, but I do know that anything can happen in a rivalry game. Emotions flare up, teams go on tilt, the unexpected becomes common place. We sit at 9 wins currently and we have a chance to make that 10 wins while ruining uga’s season at the same time. Channel that hate, let it flow through you, and give that energy to the team. They need it now more than ever. Let’s end this season on a high note!

Please note that this week, as it is every year, has a ton of rivalry games to cover so don’t expect much in depth analysis (granted I haven’t had much of that the past few weeks anyway). I also used the rankings from the coaches poll this week as I had to put out the article quickly due to how early the games start this week. So, with that out of the way let’s get to picking.

picks:

Clean Old Fashioned Hate: uga bulldogs (-13.5) v #19 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets played at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, GA

Logan: I don’t feel great about it, but I’m picking GT. We haven’t played like a team that should win this game the past few weeks. The good news is that Key tends to get the players up for this game. Hopefully its enough to get a win this year.

Logan’s pick: Georgia Tech

Egg Bowl: #6 Ole Miss Rebels (-7.5) @ Mississippi State

Logan: Ole Miss has had a tendency of choking in big games like Miami the past few years, but against Mississippi State Lane Kiffin has consistently dominated. I think Ole Miss handles business here.

Logan’s pick: Ole Miss

Navy Midshipmen @ Memphis Tigers (-5.5)

Logan: I have high hopes for Navy here. I have no real basis for why they would beat Memphis, but with an outside shot of making the College Football Playoff I think Navy finds a way to win this one.

Logan’s pick: Navy

#14 Utah Utes (-13.5) @ Kansas Jayhawks

Logan: Should I hope that Kansas will upset Utah? Of course. Do I think that is a realistic possibility? No. Utah wins comfortably.

Logan’s pick: Utah

The Heroes Game (A.K.A Farmaggedon): Iowa Hawkeyes (-5.5) @ Nebraska Cornhuskers

Logan: Iowa hasn’t won any of their big matchups the past few weeks, but they’ve looked good in their games and are hoping to finish the game on a high note. I’ll take Iowa.

Logan’s pick: Iowa

San Diego State Aztecs (-2.5) @ New Mexico Lobos

Logan: Alot rides on this game for the season results in the Mountain West. New Mexico has struggled against top teams in the Mountain West, I feel like San Diego State should be able to overcome the Lobos.

Logan’s pick: San Diego State

Battle for the Old Oaken Bucket: #2 Indiana Hoosiers (-28.5) @ Purdue Boilermakers

Logan: This is technically rivalry, but I doubt it will be much of a game. Indiana by a ton.

Logan’s pick: Indiana

Lone Star Showdown: #3 Texas A&M Aggies (-2.5) @ #16 Texas Longhorns

Logan: Texas A&M has had some struggles, but overall they have looked like they are one of the most dominant forces in college football this year. Texas on the other hand has been mediocre at best. Texas A&M continues to roll.

Logan’s pick: Texas A&M

Duel in the Desert: Arizona Wildcats (-1.5) @ Arizona State Sun Devils

Logan: Both of these teams are pretty even on paper. I guess I’ll take Arizona State as they are the home team.

Logan’s pick: Arizona State

Cascade Clash: #7 Oregon Ducks (-6.5) @ Washington Huskies

Logan: If USC couldn’t stop Oregon I don’t expect Washington to do so. Oregon takes this one.

Logan’s pick: Oregon

#13 Miami Hurricanes (-6.5) @ #24 Pittsburgh Panthers

Logan: The Pitt QB struggles under pressure and Miami has a fantastic D-line. I’ll take Miami. ugh… I hate that Miami could still technically win the ACC.

Logan’s pick: Miami

Battle for Los Angeles: UCLA Bruins @ #20 USC Trojans (-20.5)

Logan: I do think UCLA has a shot in this game after USC is coming off of a tough game against Oregon. UCLA really has nothing else to play for at this point… Sure I’ll take the Bruins

Logan’s pick: UCLA

The Commonwealth Clash: Virginia Tech Hokies @ #17 Virginia Cavaliers (-10.5)

Logan: It just feels like certain teams are cursed against their rivals. Heck I feel that about GT and uga sometimes, but at least I know uga is consistently a tough team to face. Virginia has not been able to overcome Virginia Tech on a regular basis. Virginia has won 1 of the past 20 matchups against VT, even when VT is bad they just find a way to embarrass Virginia. I’m rooting for Virginia but I just have to go with history here and take Virginia Tech.

Logan’s pick: Virginia Tech

Land of Lincoln Trophy: Northwestern Wildcats @ Illinois Fighting Illini (-6.5)

Logan: It’s been a bit of a disappointing season for Illinois. I don’t know that they will be carrying much motivation into this game. Northwestern on the other hand needs this game to make a bowl game. I’ll take Northwestern to scrape out a win here.

Logan’s pick: Northwestern

Houston Cougars @ Baylor Bears (-1.5)

Logan: I’ve talked to Houston alumni before and they really hate Baylor. Apparently Baylor (and politicians who were Baylor alumni) played a large factor into why Houston’s entry into the Big 12 took so long. That’s just what I’ve been told, not sure how accurate that is. Anyway, if current Houston players carry half of that fiery fury then I think they win this game.

Logan’s pick: Houston

The Sunshine Showdown: Florida State Seminoles @ Florida Gators (-2.5)

Logan: Do either of these teams have much motivation going into this game? I will take Florida State to win just because they have had a better record overall, but I could see this being a boring game that could go either way.

Logan’s pick: Florida State

Battle for Paul Bunyan’s Axe: Wisconsin Badgers @ Minnesota Golden Gophers (-2.5)

Logan: I just don’t think Wisconsin has been very good this year. Minnesota should win this one comfortably at home.

Logan’s pick: Minnesota

Tobacco Road Rivalry: Wake Forest Demon Deacons @ Duke Blue Devils (-3.5)

Logan: I can’t not like Wake here. Wake Forest has had a fantastic season when I really expected them to struggle to even make a bowl. I think this will be the cherry one top for Wake’s season.

Logan’s pick: Wake Forest

Cincinnati Bearcats @ TCU Horned Frogs (-3.5)

Logan: Cincy lost the last 2 games they were in. I think they will be motivated to win this game and end their season on a high note. It’s strange, I just seem to keep picking Cincinnati for some reason.

Logan’s pick: Cincy

The Game: #1 Ohio State Buckeyes (-11.5) @ #15 Michigan Wolverines

Logan: Going with history again. This game has been a sticking point for Ohio State the past few years. The Buckeye’s just can’t overcome Michigan. Michigan can still may the BIG 10 championship, they get the game at home, and Ohio State hasn’t played a really good team this year. I’m not confident in this, but I can totally see Michigan winning this one.

Logan’s pick: Michigan

Battle for the Governor’s Cup: Kentucky Wildcats @ Louisville Cardinals (-3.5)

Logan: Kentucky has been getting better as the season has gone on while Louisville has gotten worse. Give me Kentucky.

Logan’s pick: Kentucky

The Palmetto Bowl: Clemson Tigers @ South Carolina Gamecocks (-2.5)

Logan: I feel like South Carolina has just been shaken by the past few losses to the point that they will struggle to find motivation to win this game. Clemson is my pick.

Logan’s pick: Clemson

The Battle of I-75: Toledo Rockets (-10.5) @ Central Michigan Chippewas

Logan: Trying to get some rivalries from G6 conferences. Toledo has a significantly better offense but Central Michigan has wont their games through their defense. Since Toledo seems more consistent on offense though I will take Toledo.

Logan’s pick: Toledo

The Old Mountain Feud: Georgia Southern Eagles @ Marshall Thundering Herd (-6.5)

Logan: Alot of similarities between these teams. Georgia Southern seems to have improved overall as the year has gone on. I will take Georgia Southern

Logan’s pick: Georgia Southern

LSU Tigers @ #8 Oklahoma Sooners (-10.5)

Logan: LSU just doesn’t have much motivation left in the tank, meanwhile the Sooners are trying to position themselves for the College Football Playoff. Oklahoma is my pick.

Logan’s pick: Oklahoma

The Smoky Mountain Bowl: #12 Vanderbilt Commodores @ #18 Tennessee Volunteers (-2.5)

Logan: I know I probably should root against Vandy for the whole CFP positioning situation, but they’ve just been such a fun story all year. I will take Vandy

Logan’s pick: Vanderbilt

Battle Line Rivalry: (-2.5) Mizzou Tigers @ Arkansas Razorbacks

Logan: Arkansas has just not been very good this year. I will take Mizzou.

Logan’s pick: Mizzou

The PAC-12 Championship: Oregon State Beavers @ Washington State Cougars (-12.5)

Logan: Same logic as Arkansas, Oregon State has not been very good ergo I am taking the Cougars

Logan’s pick: Washington State

The Iron Bowl: #10 Alabama Crimson Tide (-5.5) @ Auburn Tigers

Logan: Does anyone seriously expect Auburn to pull off the upset here? Alabama and it’s not close.

Logan’s pick: Alabama

The Battle for the Barrel: North Carolina Tarheels @ NC State Wolfpack (-7.5)

Logan: One thing I learned this year is that it is hard to win at NC State. I think this will be a tough game for UNC fans, I’ll take the pack.

Logan’s pick: NC State
