The Arizona Cardinals haven't had the services of running back Trey Benson since Week 4.

However, the Cardinals started the clock on Benson's return last week after designating him to return from injured reserve last week.

THURSDAY UPDATE: Benson did not take part in practice on Thursday after being limited on Wednesday. That is a bad sign for his chances of suiting up in Week 13.
WEDNESDAY UPDATE:Benson is taking part in practice on Wednesday, but it is not clear yet if he's limited or full. A full session would be an upgrade from last week and a clear sign he'll play on Sunday.

There was no mention of Benson's status for Week 13 during head coach Jonathan Gannon's media availability, so we don't have an answer to this question yet.
If you're looking for a reason for optimism, Benson was able to log three limited practices last week after being designated to return from injured reserve, so that's promising for his chances of playing on Sunday.
We would say Benson has a better than 50/50 chance to play in Week 13. We'll get our next update on Benson on Wednesday, when the Cardinals release their first injury report of the week.

The expectation is that Benson will take over lead-back duties from Bam Knight upon his return, as the Cardinals need to see what they have in their 2024 third-round pick the rest of the season.
