The Buffalo Bills have a fun Thanksgiving Day football history.

They won't add to that this year, but there's plenty to pay attention to during your Thanksgiving gatherings in a snow-coated Western New York.

The first game of the day is all-NFC, pitting the Packers against the Lions. But then it's those pesky Chiefs against the Cowboys, and finally Ravens and Bengals in the nightcap.

It should be a great day of football watching before the Bills have to play Sunday against the Steelers.

The first game of the day is relatively inconsequential. The Green Bay Packers go to Detroit to take on the Lions, and their NFC North battle is a big one for themselves but not so much for the Bills.

Then in the second game, it's likely easy for Bills fans to root against the Chiefs. Rooting for the Cowboys isn't that fun, but it's the way to go.

Kansas City is 6-5, and it's much better for the rest of the AFC for them to get knocked a step backward rather than to hit their stride for the stretch run.

The night game is intriguing, too, as Joe Burrow returns for Cincinnati at QB. It's worth rooting for Burrow, too.

The Bengals likely need to win out to get to the playoffs from 3-8, so they're not as much of a threat as the currently 6-5 Ravens, who are on a five-game winning streak. Any path that helps the Bills avoid Lamar Jackson in the postseason is probably useful, so Burrow is the man for Buffalo to support on Thursday night.
