Once again, the Spartans Wire crew is here asking if Michigan State can finally win a Big Ten game? And as always, we are back for one final time offering up our thoughts.

It'll be a battle between two teams riding massive losing streaks on Saturday night in the Motor City. This neutral site matchup from Ford Field in Detroit will featured Michigan state and Maryland, with both teams failing to win since September.

Michigan State comes into this game with an overall record of 3-8 and conference mark of 0-8. The Spartans have lost eight straight games and will be missing out on the bowl season for a fourth straight season.

Maryland is also riding an extended losing streak of seven-games coming into this tilt. The Terps are 4-7 overall and 1-7 in Big Ten play, and will also be missing out on a bowl game for a second straight season.

Let's see what our Spartans Wire crew thinks about that happening in our weekly Michigan State football predictions below:

MSU just can’t be trusted to close a game right now, even against this Maryland team.

Prediction: Michigan State 24, Maryland 20

Call me crazy, but Maryland stinks. I think Michigan state finds a way to end the season with a win.

Prediction: Michigan State 27, Maryland 24

Michigan State can't go a whole season without winning a Big Ten game, right? This is a pure tossup game as both teams are essentially playing for only pride and game tape for potentially their new teams via the portal. So whoever comes in with the better mindset is probably going to win this game. History shows that the Spartans' coaching staff has done a great job in keeping them motivated this year so I anticipate them to be ready to play and finally hold on for a Big Ten win to end the year.
