The Cincinnati Bengals entered Week 13 with an injury concern for wide receiver Tee Higgins.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementHiggins suffered a concussion in the Week 12 loss to the New England Patriots that forced his early exit from the contest and left his Week 13 status up in the air.
It was immediately clear that Higgins' concussion was significant, as he had to be carted off the field after hitting his head against the ground very hard.
Here's the latest injury update on Higgins before the Bengals take the field against the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night.
Is Tee Higgins playing tonight?
No, Higgins won't be taking the field for the Bengals in Week 13.
Higgins wasn't able to practice this week before being ruled out on Wednesday.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementWith no progress made, and with it looking like Higgins suffered a significant concussion, his status for Week 14 is now in question, also.
With Higgins out, quarterback Joe Burrow, who is making his return to the field in Week 13 after a two-plus-month absence due to a toe injury, is going to have to heavily rely on superstar wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase, who is back from his suspension.
Cincinnati will also need more out of guys like wide receiver Andrei Iosivas and tight end Mike Gesicki to fill the void left by Higgins.
For our fantasy football folks out there, neither Iosivas nor Gesicki can be trusted in lineups this week, as neither one has produced enough this season to warrant consideration, even with Higgins out.
