open image in galleryThere are reductions on MacBooks, Lenovo laptops and more to shop right now (The Independent)If you’re in the market for a new MacBook or Chromebook, the best Black Friday laptop deals are here, so now’s the perfect time to buy. And for all you gamers trying to size up the best gaming laptop deals, I’ve got you covered. I’m tracking the offersthat yield the most savings all year-round, so I know where to find bona fide bargains, whether for the home office or your gaming den.
Black Friday officially begins on Friday, 28 November, but deals have been dropping at Amazon, Currys, Argos and more since early November. So if your laptop has been sounding like a supersonic jet about to take off, you can rest assured that I’ll bring you the tastiest deals so you can upgrade your laptop, all tried and tested by our expert reviewers.
As a tech writer with nearly a decade of Black Friday coverage under my belt, the most valuable lesson I’ve learned is to set your sights on a specific laptop before you begin exploring what’s on sale. Otherwise, you risk being lured in by a falsely inflated discount (on a device you didn’t even want). In my shopping guide, you’ll find a hand-picked selection of laptop discounts to suit every budget and spec requirement. I’ll be updating the deals as they fluctuate and – if we’re lucky – adding in the bigger reductions when they drop on Friday.
For more Black Friday deals on the latest tech, the team is also bringing you the best Apple deals, best PS5 deals and best Xbox deals as they land.

Buy nowWhen is Black Friday 2025?
Black Friday falls on the fourth Thursday of November each year. This means, in 2025, Black Friday lands later this week on 28 November, with deals running throughout the weekend until Cyber Monday (1 December).
However, the deals tend to spill out of that four-day window. The first discounts started landing earlier in November, so if a new laptop is in your future, there’s plenty to explore right now (or just four days to wait for the main event).
Why you can trust us to find the best laptop deals this Black Friday
As IndyBest’s tech critic, I assess laptops throughout the year to create and maintain our laptop shopping guides, so I know which Black Friday laptop deals are worth your money and which you should avoid. My review process measures everything from performance and battery life to display quality and build, and I won’t recommend a laptop just because it’s cheap – that’s an easy way to end up with a dud.
How to avoid a bad laptop deal
You will find countless low-cost, obscure brands on sites like Amazon, but it’s best to steer clear of these and stick to reputable names to ensure you’re investing in a laptop you can depend on. We only feature models we’ve tested ourselves or those from brands we know and trust. As we track prices over time and know how much you should expect to spend on the latest tech, our laptop guides are a safe bet when trying to find a good deal.
