What a time to be a Bears fan. After yet another win against the Pittsburgh Steelers this past Sunday, that makes them 8-1 over their last 9 games and 8-3 on the season.

Chicago is currently in possession of the number one spot in the NFC North, with a game lead over both the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Lions. The rest of their schedule will not be easy. They play the Packers twice, the Lions once more, as well as the Eagles and 49ers.

Luckily for Chicago, that gauntlet of a schedule looks like it will be made far easier with the returns of two top-tier defensive players. They could be returning as soon as Friday against the Eagles.

Jaylon Johnson and Kyler Gordon full participants in practice

The Bears start off the tough stretch of their last six games against Philadelphia on Friday, and although they'll likely still be missing most of their LB core, the secondary is getting a huge boost.

Chicago released their injury report on Wednesday, and it showed two players being full participants in both practices this week. Jaylon Johnson and Kyler Gordon.

This news is a godsend for Bears fans.

They've managed to work themselves into being the league leaders in interceptions and total turnovers without their two best players in the secondary. Pairing Johnson and Gordon alongside Kevin Byard at safety and Nahshon Wright, who's been a fantastic surprise, will be lethal.

They have six games left to acclimate to having a whole unit. Who knows, with Dennis Allen at the wheel, Chicago's defense could look elite by the end of the season.
