Frostburg State men rout Shepherd, 105-83

FROSTBURG — Frostburg State buried 14 3-pointers and had three 20-point scorers to out-pace Shepherd, 105-83, on Wednesday at Bobcat Arena.

Mike Montano led the Bobcats (2-2) with 25 points, adding nine rebounds and five assists to his total. Trey Simmons (23) and Kyle Whippen (22) also topped 20 points, and Mitch Finefrock added 16.

Frostburg, which led 50-37 at halftime, shot a blistering 54.8% from the field and 50% from 3-point land.

Colby White scored a game-high 31 points to lead Shepherd (3-2). Marcus Banks added 19 points and seven assists, and Daouda Traore garnered 10 points.

Frostburg State is at Kutztown on Monday at 7:30 p.m.
