Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane has admitted that though he’s scored plenty of goals away to Arsenal, wins have been much harder to come by at the Emirates Stadium.

“From my point of view, maybe it just gives me a little bit more joy,” Kane began. “But ultimately, it comes down to winning the game as well. If I score and we don’t win, it’s not going to matter.
“My record is okay here at this stadium, I’ve scored a lot of goals, but haven’t won loads of games. It would be nice if that could change tomorrow night (Wednesday).”

The striker has scored six times in 10 appearances, which certainly isn’t bad, and is probably what you’d put in a headline. But delving a bit deeper, five of those six goals were from the penalty spot, and none of them were in victories for Kane’s team.
The one time in 10 that Kane did play in a win at the Emirates Stadium was in the League Cup in 2018, which was also the only game away to Arsenal in which he’s provided an assist.

Even when Kane visited Arsenal with Bayern and scored a penalty in 2024, the match finished 2-2.

Arsenal will want to avoid Kane improving his win ratio at their home on Wednesday night, and ideally to avoid conceding a penalty as well.
