There's a new Hulk in town, and the Infernal Hulk isn't just more terrifying than the Bruce Banner original - it's also way stronger. The Infernal Hulk just debuted with a shocking show of strength that has fans' jaws on the floor.
The New Hulk Redefines the Power of the Iconic 'Hulk Clap'
infernal hulk showcases new strength level
In today's Infernal Hulk #1 - from Phillip Kennedy Johnson, Nic Klein, Matt Wilson and Cory Petit - the new Green Goliath arrives with a shocking show of strength. Up against a group of soldiers, the Infernal Hulk unleashes a classic 'Hulk Clap.' However, rather than sending his target flying, the Infernal Hulk blows the poor guy's head to pieces with the sheer force of the shockwave unleashed.
hulk clap hurts red hulk
The Hulk 'thunderclap' is a classic attack where the Savage Hulk brings his hands together, creating a shockwave that throws back everyone around him. However, true to his devilish nature, the Infernal Hulk has no interest in non-lethal solutions, delivering a deadly version of Banner's trademark move.
The Infernal Hulk Has Arrived
infernal hulk's first words
In The Incredible Hulk Volume 7, Bruce Banner's Hulk was stalked by the demonic Eldest. Ultimately, Eldest was able to rip Bruce Banner out of the Hulk's body, taking it for their own. Finally, they consumed the original source of gamma - the Mother of Horrors - and became impossibly strong.
This is the first time Marvel fans have seen the Infernal Hulk truly cut loose, and it's a terrifying echo of Bruce Banner's rampages. But while Bruce always subconsciously held the Hulk back from taking lives, the Infernal Hulk has no such hang-ups, and is more than happy to massacre an entire army.

Our Take on the Infernal Hulk's Debut
NEW INFERNAL HULK DESIGN WITH SPLIT FORM
The Infernal Hulk is a villainous new take on the founding Avenger, showcasing what Hulk's bestial power looks like without Bruce Banner to temper it with humanity. The creative team couldn't have delivered this thesis any better than taking a classic Hulk move and literally soaking it in viscera as the Infernal Hulk stops holding back.
It's also a showcase of the Infernal Hulk's godlike strength that even a clap is enough to utterly destroy a human body. What's worse, the Infernal Hulk's demonic nature means his victims rise again as undead thralls. While Bruce Banner's Hulk used to fend off the army and then leap away, Infernal Hulk stays until the fight is done, and everyone present has lost their humanity and become part of the monster's vanguard.

The Infernal Hulk has officially arrived in Marvel Comics, with a jaw-dropping show of strength that successfully introduces fans to the idea of a Hulk unbound.
Infernal Hulk #1 is available now from Marvel Comics.
