South Korea-based SurplusGLOBAL has completed the structural framework for Building B at its Yongin Namsa Cluster, marking a significant stage in the construction of the SemiMarket Parts Mall.

The ceremony, attended by company executives and representatives from construction partner CJ Logistics and Yongin City officials, signals progress towards creating an offline facility for legacy semiconductor equipment and parts.

The company expects to complete Building B in July 2026.

The 41,000m² facility will function as a central location where legacy semiconductor equipment and components from various regions can be displayed, inspected, stored, and traded.

SurplusGLOBAL plans to link the physical space with its existing online platform, providing direct integration between online inventory listings and on-site stock.

This strategy aims to offer a combined online and offline network serving the global semiconductor supply sector.

Within the wider Yongin Namsa Cluster, SurplusGLOBAL operates two main buildings: Building A centres on equipment refurbishment and parts repair while Building B is being developed for warehousing, inspections, and data-driven management of components.

The company intends to introduce programmes for asset recovery, precision repairs, recycling, component-level restoration, quality assurance initiatives, and AI-based bill of materials matching.

SurplusGLOBAL’s objective is to streamline the processes within the legacy semiconductor parts market by consolidating fragmented supply chains into a single hub.

Following the topping-out ceremony of Building B, work will continue to develop internal systems ahead of the planned opening of the SemiMarket Offline Parts Mall.

SurplusGLOBAL CEO Bruce Kim said: “This topping-out ceremony is not just about completing a building. It marks a new starting point in transforming the legacy semiconductor sector into a sustainable, circular industry.

“We are building a global hub where legacy equipment and parts can flow, be connected, and return to productive life.”
