Murder attempts, abuse and unflinching bravery (Picture: ITV/Metro)
Theo Silverton’s (James Cartwright) sickening abuse of Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) continues next week in Coronation Street as he sets out to break him physically as well as mentally. When Todd can take no more and determines to leave, Theo takes his most shocking action yet.
Becky Swain (Amy Cudden) looks to silence DI Costello (Daon Broni) forever in order to keep her role in his attack secret, though the appearance of DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) halts her plans, while Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) and Carla Connor (Alison King) dig deep to try and tie her to the crime. Just how far will Becky go to keep her secrets?
Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) is faced with the daunting prospect of delivering a speech at the Women in Business event, Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) reveals that she’s received some huge news, Will Driscoll (Lucas Hodgson-Wale) is put through the emotional ringer by Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon) and how will Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) settle back into life in Weatherfield?

Theo convinces Todd to hide to cover his injuries and tells the rest of the street that he’s gone to London, though he’s spotted in the window of the flat.
With Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) running to Theo to tell him that she’s seen a burglar, he’s flanked by Gary Windass (Mikey North) and Ben Driscoll (Aaron McCusker) as he returns home. Will Todd reveal himself?
Debbie struggles with the prospect of losing her train of thought while delivering her speech at the Women in Business event. Having given her notebook to Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard), containing her computer password, she locks herself out of her tablet, containing her speech notes. Summoning all of her courage, she delivers a heartfelt, passionate speech and explains all about her dementia. How will the audience react?

Elsewhere, Roy Cropper (David Neilson) is confused to find Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) rifling through his bag, Lisa tries to convince Carla that it’s her she wants and Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin) brings a nervous Asha home, preparing to broach the topic of her continuing her paramedic training.
Wednesday, December 3

When the man who attacked Costello is discovered, Becky is forced to feign shock, before meeting up with him and taking Costello’s phones. Upon hearing that Costello is to be brought out of his coma, Becky heads to the hospital, armed with a syringe, though she soon comes face to face with Lisa. Has she been rumbled?
Will’s nose is firmly put out of place when Megan agrees to go on a date with Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) after getting an interview for a job at Weatherfield High. Fuming, is Will about to blow their secret?
When Dev pops round, Todd is forced to lie that he’s only just back from London, and puts his injuries down to a drunken fall. Later, Theo forces Todd to do more exercise, presenting him with a fitness watch. As he shares a brew with Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins) after a run, Theo looks enraged. Is Todd about to break in front of his friend?

Meanwhile, Ollie Driscoll (Raphael Akuwudike is wounded when Dee-Dee refuses to commit to spending Christmas Day together, Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) and Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley) squabble in front of Maggie Driscoll (Pauline McLynn) and Maria is horrified to see Will squaring up to Liam Connor (Charlie Wrenshall).

Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) and Summer aren’t convinced by Theo’s excuses as to Todd’s cuts, who later presents his boyfriend with an exercise bike. When Danielle Silverton (Natalie Anderson) declares that she’s taking the kids to Tenerife for Christmas, Theo turns on Todd, blaming him for her decision and his lack of exercise. Finally breaking, Todd declares that he’s leaving, but when Theo starts to physically harm himself, can he go through with it?

Will’s heart is absolutely broken when, upon receiving the job at Weatherfield High, she plants a kiss on Daniel’s lips.
