The Washington Commanders got to enjoy a bye week in Week 12, and now the team is preparing for a tough game against the AFC West-leading Denver Broncos.
With the team's playoff hopes all but out the window, the main story now is Jayden Daniels' health. Daniels has dealt with multiple injuries this season and hasn't played since the beginning of November.

On Tuesday, Daniels was at Northwest Stadium to pass out turkeys to families of Prince George's County. The star also took time to speak with the media and answered questions about his recovery.
"It's a day-to-day process," Daniels said of his recovery. "Just kind of getting back in the rhythm of things and the flow of things. When I'm healthy and ready to go, I want to be out there."
Daniels will be back at practice this week, but he has not yet been cleared for contact. It's expected that Marcus Mariota will again start in Week 13 while Daniels continues to heal.

It would be more crucial to get Daniels back on the field if the team were in the middle of a playoff race, but that isn't the case this year, so the team can be cautious. At this point, the team just needs to get healthier and end the season on a positive note.
Daniels was asked whether he's been throwing, and he confirmed he has, which will excite fans.
After the matchup with the Broncos, the team will take on the Vikings and then the final four games are against NFC East foes.
