The New York Jets were defeated 23-10 by the Baltimore Ravens in Week 12, bringing their record to 2-9.

The Jets (2-9) led 7-3 at halftime as head coach Aaron Glenn's defensive strategy initially stifled the Ravens' explosive offense. Derrick Henry scored two rushing touchdowns in the third quarter to give Baltimore (6-5) an advantage they'd never squander.

With that, Jets Wire has identified three things we learned about the Jets during Sunday's latest loss:

Tyrod Taylor doesn't spark the offense

Coach Glenn made the decision to bench Justin Fields and start Tyrod Taylor at quarterback. The idea was to spark the offense. It didn't work, as the Jets managed 10 measly points. Taylor finished 17-of-28 for 222 passing yards, one touchdown, and one interception. The numbers appear respectable, but the offense routinely stalled.

New receivers stay involved

The Jets continue to offer wide receivers John Metchie III and Adonai Mitchell plenty of opportunities on offense. Metchie converted seven targets into six receptions for 65 yards and a touchdown. Mitchell tied Metchie in targets with seven, but only produced two receptions for 42 yards.

Jowon Briggs is an underrated gem

The Jets' trade with the Cleveland Browns for Jowon Briggs continues to pay dividends. Briggs registered a sack and two quarterback pressures. He continues to perform like a long-term solution as a rotational defensive linemen for Coach Glenn.
