Warning! This post contains SPOILERS for Sorcerer Supreme #3
It's been five years since WandaVision redefined the MCU with the first streaming series on Disney+, and Marvel has brought the Maximoff Family back together again in a brand-new comic story.
Released in 2021, WandaVision starred The Scarlet Witch, Vision, and their twin boys in a fabricated reality created by Wanda Maximoff's chaos magic. While the MCU series ended with that reality and Wanda's family becoming undone, Marvel looks to be giving us a sneak peak at what a long hoped-for Maximoff family reunion might look like in the near future.
The Scarlet Witch Assembles Her Family In Marvel's New Sorcerer Supreme Series
In Marvel’s new Sorcerer Supreme series by Steve Orlando and Bernard Chang, Wanda Maximoff steps into a massive new role as Earth's brand-new Sorcereress Supreme. After saving the Eye of Agamotto and Cloak of Levitation following Doctor Doom's demise as the previous Sorcerer Supreme, Wanda was effectively chosen by the mystical vestments.
However, it's typically The Vishanti who get the final say on whom the next Sorcerer Supreme will be. Rejecting Wanda's claim, the Vishanti choose none other than Agatha Harkness as their sanctioned Sorcerer Supreme, resulting in a major clash between the two powerful witches.
Now, this new rivalry motivates Wanda to assemble Billy, Tommy, and Vision for guidance, gathering the whole Maximoff/Vision family together in the new Sorcerer Supreme #3.
While the Maximoff twins were already part of Wanda’s cabinet of advisors, seeing all four family members reunited is still pretty rare in the modern Marvel continuity. Likewise, the timing of the reunion is pretty exciting and fun for MCU fans who've been waiting and hoping to see the family reunite on-screen.
That said, it's possible Marvel may have more up its sleeve than a simple family conversation following this new issue.
Is Marvel Setting Up A Future Maximoff Family Series?
Interestingly, the family gathering doesn’t quite end after Wanda leaves to confront Agatha. Instead, Vision gathers Billy, Tommy, and his android daughter Viv (whom the Maximoffs also consider family) to have a different discussion, preceded by an admission that he's been absent in his sons' lives for far too long.
As such, it's possible we could be seeing the start of the Maximoff/Vision family actually operating like a genuine family more than ever before going forward in the Marvel Universe.

Likewise, White Vision is starring in this year's Vision Quest series, which should also feature teenage Tommy's MCU debut. As a result, the pieces have gradually been falling into place for a potential Maximoff family reunion since 2021's WandaVision, one that would hopefully culminate with The Scarlet Witch's resurrection.
Regardless of what the future may hold, it's still pretty cool to see the Maximoff/Vision family getting together on the page as we wait to see if the same might one day happen in the MCU.
Sorcerer Supreme #3 is available now from Marvel Comics.
