It’s on to the Final Four in Division V of the Sac-Joaquin Section for the Faith Christian School girls basketball team after dispatching Ripon Christian, 58-37 Thursday at home at the Lions Den.
The No. 2 Lions (26-1) will get a third go-around with No. 3 John Adams Academy (El Dorado Hills) Tuesday at home starting at 7 p.m., with a win putting FCS back at Golden 1 Center for a second straight season and third in the last four years.

Lauren Harris scored 26 on six 3s to run her career four-year total to 3,346 – good enough for fifth all-time with Modesto Christian’s Courtney Paris (3,346; 2002-05). Presley Berry added 19 points as she continues to push past 2,000 career points in four years. Mia Bryan, the team’s top junior, scored 13 for the Lions in the win.
Already the national career and single-season 3-point leader, Harris went past 700 in her career and 200 this year with Thursday’s win.
The other D-V semi features No. 1 Bret Harte (Angels Camp) against No. 4 Woodland Christian on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Central Catholic 65, Sutter 39
The Huskies’ season ended Thursday in Modesto, courtesy of the No. 1 team in D-IV, as Central Catholic rolled Sutter, 65-39 in the SJS D-IV quarters.
Sutter ended at 22-8 and league champs for the first time as a member of the second largest section in California.
Yuba College splits on sophomore day
– Yuba College men ended its regular season with an 85-72 win at home over Los Medanos Thursday, finishing 21-7 overall and winning 14-2 to secure its 18th Bay Valley Conference title in 22 years under head coach Doug Cornelius.
Yuba will await its seed in the 3C2A NorCal Regional set to begin at some point next week. At last check in the CCCMBCA rankings, Yuba sat 13th in the state and seventh among NorCal teams.
