This dual season will go down as another success with Scott Goodale as head coach. Rutgers finished the season ranked fifth in the Big Ten standings, one of its best finishes since joining the conference. They secured that finish by closing the season on a six-dual win streak. This is the program’s ninth 14-dual win season with Goodale as coach. The Knights also finished with a winning record in Big Ten duels for the second season in a row, going 5-3 in conference play and 14-5 overall.
To highlight even more success the program has had this year, they landed 125 pound recruit Anthony Knox, who is the highest rated recruit ever to sign with the program.
Rutgers wrestling will have a few weeks off before it heads out to Happy Valley to compete in the Big Ten Championships. Those will take place on March 7/8 at the Bryce Jordan Center.
