There's nothing more painful than a cliffhanger ending being followed by a cancelation. That's why the best way to prevent fans from being dissatisfied is for great series to get them the attention they deserve.
It is well known that show renewals on Netflix largely depend on the views generated. As a result, by binge-watching these amazing Netflix series that are pending renewal, fans might help ensure that their full potential isn't wasted, giving their stories a chance to end in the best way possible.
Bodkin
A dramatic thriller mixed with satire and dark humor, Bodkin emerged as a great proposal to cure the true crime fever of Netflix's viewers. The series is reminiscent of Only Murders in the Building and explores true-crime podcasts by following a journalist who goes to a small town to investigate a mysterious unsolved case.
Although Bodkin reached Netflix's Top 10, there has been no news of a possible second season so far. While the chances are steadily decreasing given that the show premiered in May 2024, the series hasn't been officially canceled. This means there's still hope for Bodkin Season 2, especially since its ending leaves the door open for the podcasting trio to return.
Ranma 1/2
Ranma running in Ranma 1 2 Season 2 trailer
The remake of Ranma 1/2 returned with a second season on Netflix in October 2025. While the remake produced by studio MAPPA brings a more faithful adaptation of Rumiko Takahashi's manga than the classic series and was highly rated among new and old fans, the hype for Ranma 1/2 Season 2 lost steam compared to its first part.
Ranma 1/2's remake has so far only covered 8 volumes of the 38 available in the manga. Although the decision on Ranma 1/2 Season 3 is primarily based on its success in Japan, given that the series is streaming exclusively on Netflix for Western viewers, it's clear that fan support on the platform makes a big difference in the anime's continuity.
Unfamiliar

Dethroning fan-favorite titles like Bridgerton and The Lincoln Lawyer, Unfamiliar is Netflix's newest sensation. Unfamiliar, a limited series about a married couple who hide their past as undercover agents until it suddenly comes back to hit them without warning, has conquered fans around the world.
While the series has a closed ending that can be quite satisfying, a recent update indicates that there could be plans for season 2 of Unfamiliar, suggesting a new storyline that may explore more of the characters. However, everything will depend on the fans' demand for the series.
Bad Influencer
Bad Influencer Netflix
Bad Influencer is a South African series that managed to position itself among the most viewed content on Netflix after its premiere in November 2025. In just 7 episodes, Bad Influencer brilliantly balances suspense, drama, dark humor, and social criticism of influencer culture with an ironic look at how the obsession with online validation can be more dangerous than it seems.
Despite its cliffhanger ending showing the shocking fate of BK, which gives room to bigger developments, Bad Influencer hasn't officially been greenlit for a second season. It hasn't been long since its premiere, and it may only be a matter of time before it gets renewed, but keeping interest in the series alive could seal the deal for Bad Influencer.
Love, Death & Robots
Mary Elizabeth Winstead in Love, Death, and Robots' Ice Age
Love, Death & Robots quickly became one of Netflix's best anthology series. Unfortunately, despite having brilliant episodes, the fourth volume of Love, Death & Robots, released in 2025, was considered the most irregular of the series. Many fans found that the series played it safe by using formulas and visual styles too similar to previous installments.
The negative reviews and the drop in viewership compared to the previous volumes could be the reason why Netflix hasn't yet officially renewed the series. However, there's always the possibility that, with enough support from fans, Love, Death & Robots Volume 5 could become a reality, plus its pioneering format allows it to overcome its flaws in a new installment.
A Killer Paradox
A dark thriller that masterfully blurs the lines between good and evil, The Killer Paradox became Netflix's version of Dexter in 2024. It follows Lee Tang unknowingly killing a serial killer in self-defense and undergoing a change in morality, dedicating himself to punishing evil people. However, the series is also full of humor and parody and never gets boring.
The Killer Paradox features a game of cat and mouse that becomes more complicated as it delves deeper into Tang's moral dilemmas and motivations and those of the detective on his trail. The series strayed from its original webtoon and had an open ending that hinted at a second season, but to date A Killer Paradox hasn't been renewed or canceled.
House of Guinness

From the same creator of Peaky Blinders, House of Guinness is at risk of being permanently canceled and leaving viewers dissatisfied after a chilling cliffhanger. Taking many creative liberties from its real-life inspirations, House of Guinness has a flavor similar to Succession, following the heirs to the Guinness fortune.
Filled with family drama, conflicts of ambition and power, and a wonderful period aesthetic, House of Guinness received mixed reviews from critics and fell short of the mass popularity of Peaky Blinders. House of Guinness' creator, Steven Knight, confirmed that he would like to continue the story, which means a new season will depend on the series' performance on Netflix.
Weak Hero

Weak Hero is a K-drama that managed to become a global hit on Netflix. A thriller full of hard and exciting moments, Weak Hero properly addresses the consequences of bullying and harassment in schools, following a student who seeks to confront this violence. Also, Weak Hero could follow the example of series like Alice in Wonderland or All of Us Are Death, which continue their stories after the end of their source material.
American Primeval
Devin (Preston Mota) and Isaac (Taylor Kitsch) in American Primeval
American Primeval is one of Netflix's biggest hits of 2025. A western set in 1857, the show brings a different look at the Utah War, taking viewers along a mother, her son, and their guide as they seek to survive a dangerous journey in the middle of a violent clash.
The complexity of the drama and injustices that the characters experienced throughout the story and the anticipation of discovering if they will achieve their goals kept viewers on the edge of their seats. Although it was initially conceived for a short run, American Primeval's producers confirmed their interest in continuing the story after the series' positive reception.
Russian Doll

One of Netflix's greatest hit series, Russian Doll, has been in limbo after the release of its second season in 2022. The series follows Nadia, who is trapped in a time loop, dying and repeating the same night over and over again. While it hasn't been green-lit in almost four years, Natasha Lyonne admitted that Russian Doll originally had a three-season plan.
Although many viewers might think the series has been ghost canceled, Netflix never officially addressed the continuation of Russian Doll. Furthermore, given that Peacock recently canceled Lyonne' latest series, Poker Face, it could be the perfect time for the actress to reprise the role of Nadia in Russian Doll Season 3 if the series gains enough buzz.
