However, his truest love lies in the presence of historical epics and thrillers. Lured by the brilliance of Middle Earth from an early age both in print and on screen, his palate has since expanded to other realms including Westeros, Kattegat among others. He also possesses a great appetite for the stories that emanate from the vastness of space. Even though he is no Avenger. Obsessed with storytelling and having works of his own that have yet to make it to print, he is content to use that ability to communicate to as many as are reachable. In his spare time, he looks out for avenues where he can aid people aside from his plans to reign over this earthly realm. Yes…you heard that first here. MGM+ is fast becoming to horror fans what Apple TV+ is to sci-fi fans in the age of streaming. While it hasn’t yet broken into the mainstream like some of its bigger streaming rivals, the Amazon-backed platform is definitely on to something, and they are doing it right. While Apple TV+ boasts sci-fi shows like Severance and Pluribus, MGM+ is positioning itself as home to some bone-chilling titles, including The Institute and Chapelwaite, both of which are based on Stephen King novels.

MGM+'s biggest export, however, is the popular mystery horror series FROM, which continues to draw comparisons with the 2004 sci-fi horror series Lost, which set the bar for a mysterious tale that only bore a hole deeper into its lore. FROM premiered its first Season in 2022 and has since consistently maintained its spot on MGM's Top 10 charts. While rankings typically shuffle to reflect changing audience appetite, From has never slipped outside the Top 10. Even The Institute, based on King’s novel and written for television by Benjamin Cavell, has been unable to wrestle FROM's crown despite receiving critical acclaim.

FROM is one of the most terrifying shows on television, and it stars Lost alum Harold Perrineau in the lead role. According to data obtained from FlixPatrol, FROM has expanded its sphere of influence, dominating several streaming platforms across multiple countries. The MGM+ series was created by John Griffin, who also serves as a writer and executive producer, and the sci-fi horror has sprung to life on platforms like MGM+, Catchplay, Starz, and Paramount+, among others. The show's global reach is also growing as the series finds itself within the Top 10 of several countries using the aforementioned platforms, including France, Italy, Morocco, and Australia.

'FROM' Season 4 Is Poised To Be Groundbreaking

Griffin's FROM centers on a cursed town that traps anyone who enters. The story begins with the Matthews family, whose road trip takes a terrifying detour when they stumble into the town, only to realize there’s no way out. Alongside other trapped residents, they race to unravel the town’s dark secrets before they're all consumed by the malevolent forces that lurk after dark. The King of Horror himself, Stephen King, approves of the show, and he is not alone, as reflected by the show's strong score of 96% from critics on Rotten Tomatoes. The show has thrived for three seasons, and MGM+ quickly greenlit a fourth season after the third finished airing. Season 4 finished filming in November 2025, with a trailer dropping in early February 2026.

MGM+ has also released a full synopsis for the fourth season of FROM, which can be found below:

“In Season Four, the closer the residents of town get to the answers they seek, the more terrifying their search becomes. Who is the Man in Yellow, and what does he want? Will Jade and Tabitha’s revelation be the key to finally going home? How much longer can Boyd hold the town together, even as his body and mind are falling apart? And what role will the town’s most recent arrival play in the events to come? Season Four will open doors that some in town will end up wishing had remained closed.”

Stay tuned to Collider for more updates on FROM Season 4, and catch up on the first three seasons on MGM+.
