In recent days, the Los Angeles Lakers have been getting healthier. While Luka Doncic is dealing with what has been termed a mild hamstring strain, and while starting center Deandre Ayton missed Saturday's win over the Golden State Warriors with knee soreness, every other rotation player is healthy.
The one Lakers player who is still recovering from a serious injury is rookie forward Adou Thiero, who sprained his MCL several weeks ago and has been out ever since. He has reportedly been assigned to the South Bay Lakers, L.A.'s G League affiliate, to take part in practice. Little-used second-year wing Dalton Knecht was also assigned to South Bay, per Dave McMenamin of ESPN.
Before Thiero got hurt, coach JJ Redick was trying to find minimal slivers of playing time for him. He's averaging 1.3 points and 1.2 rebounds in 5.8 minutes a game this season.

He was the No. 17 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft and was projected to become a 3-point specialist with some ability to score from all three levels, but he hasn't panned out, at least not yet.
