Michigan State and Michigan played in a classic No. 1 vs. No. 2 battle inside of Yost Arena on Friday night, making history in the rivalry, but unfortunately for the Spartans, it ended in hearbreak.
Michigan came back from down two goals in the contest, scoring a power play overtime winner to secure a 4-3 win over the Spartans.

Two Michigan goals in the final frame tied the game up before the golden goal in overtime for the Wolverines.
The two teams will square off in Detroit at Little Caesars Arena for the Duel in the D tomorrow night.
