CHEBOYGAN – The Cheboygan volleyball team had an outstanding fall in their second season as a member of the Northern Shores Conference.
The Chiefs – who finished with just one loss in conference play and second behind NSC champion Kingsley – saw several of their players recently earn all-conference accolades.

Making the all-Northern Shores first team for a second consecutive season was senior libero Presley Chamberlain, whose excellent defensive season featured 442 digs, while also being a solid offensive contributor with 31 aces and 18 kills. Chamberlain eclipsed 1,000 digs in the early portion of her campaign.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementJoining Chamberlain on the NSC’s first team was senior teammate and setter Makaela Steiner, who was tremendous all-around with 785 assists, 337 digs, 107 kills and 72 aces during her last season with the Cheboygan program. Early in the season, Steiner surpassed 2,000 career digs.
Cheboygan's Tessa Lake (13), Diem Schley (9), Makaela Steiner (16), Olivia Patrick (8) and Presley Chamberlain all earned spots on the all-Northern Shores Conference volleyball team.Representing the Chiefs on the NSC’s second team were senior Tessa Lake (218 kills, 350 digs, 39 aces), and sophomore Diem Schley (291 kills, 133 digs, 36 aces), a pair of players who hit the 500-kill milestone late in the season.

Senior Olivia Patrick (128 kills, 232 digs, 50 aces) rounded out Cheboygan by earning NSC honorable mention recognition.
Three Cheboygan players – Chamberlain, Lake and Patrick – were also recognized on the Michigan Interscholastic Volleyball Coaches Association (MIVCA) individual academic all-state squad.
