A mother reportedly watched in horror as her 11-year-old son was stabbed to death by his ex-cop father on a home security camera.

Marvin Morales, a 40-year-old former Sacramento County sheriff’s deputy, was shot and killed following a high-speed chase just hours after the alleged stabbing.

The Elk Grove Police Department received a call from a mother concerned about the safety of her two children, who were both at home with Morales.

The mother was at work when she saw her son lying unresponsive on the ground, on home surveillance video.

NBC reported that his mother watched as her son was stabbed to death via the online security video.

Officers rushed to the home and found the 11-year-old boy with multiple stab wounds.

Paramedics fought to save the young boy until he was taken to a local hospital, where he died.

The six-year-old girl, who was home at the time of the incident, was evaluated at the hospital and returned to her mother.

Morales was found driving his car and led officers on a chase that only ended with an officer-involved shooting.

At a news conference, CHP Valley Division Chief Tyler Eccles said Morales’ vehicle crashed after a spike strip was placed in the SUV’s path.

He also said the SUV veered off the freeway when it crashed.
