Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption 2 is already a beautiful game. Considering it's already seven years old, RDR2 is especially impressive because it looks better than many current games on the market. Still, thanks to mods, the iconic Western can look even better, believe it or not, and the latest video of the game with "ultra graphics" makes RDR2 look better than it ever has before.
As posted on YouTube, Digital Dreams shared a new video from Red Dead Redemption 2 that shows the RTX 5090 Vestigia 2 Mod, offering "150+ Mods Beyond-All-Limits Raytracing Ultra Graphics." Throughout the video, which you can view below, we can see Arthur Morgan in a variety of locations that show off just how impressive this mod looks.
Red Dead Redemption 2 Looks More Stunning Than Ever
Over the years, RDR2 has gotten everything from horse mods to graphics mods, to silly ones that can make characters look or act in funny ways. Despite coming out in 2018, it remains a popular game, and still has a pretty dedicated mod community. Shown off in 8K, though, the RTX 5090 Vestigia 2 Mod reveals just how great Red Dead Redemption 2 can look.
In the video, we see Arthur in various RDR2 locations: walking through forests, riding near the ocean on horseback, and (maybe most impressively) surveying streets and town architecture. Using NVIDIA RTX 5090 FE GPU and a Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU, everything we see in the video looks almost too good to believe. Understandably, viewers were in awe, but the PC specs listed for the mod might cause you to do a double-take.

There are some costly components here, but these specs highlight just how much it takes to run the mod smoothly. If you do try it, you'll definitely need equipment that can keep your PC cool.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is a gorgeous game, but mods can make it look even more beautiful. Even if you don't possess the capabilities to run something like the RTX 5090 Vestigia 2 Mod, watching the video from Digital Dreams is the next best thing. And there are always less intensive mods that still improve graphics — they may just not look as detailed as this one.
