The Washington Commanders have simply not gotten enough production out of their wide receiver room this season.
Much of this can be blamed on injuries, as Terry McLaurin has played in just four contests, and Noah Brown has played in just two. However, outside of Deebo Samuel, the receivers who have been healthy have still underperformed.

Luckily, the Commanders could be getting some reinforcements back soon. On Monday, the team announced that the 21-day practice window for Brown has been activated. The veteran has been out since Week 2 with a groin injury. Brown traveled to Spain with the team but was unable to get on the field as his window hadn't been activated.
Brown will now have three weeks to practice with the team before he must be either activated or shut down for the season. The team will definitely be glad to get another weapon back in the fold in what has been a disappointing season.

Brown played in 13 games for the Commanders last season and ended with 35 catches for 453 yards and one touchdown. Once the veteran is activated, he will almost certainly be thrown right in on offense. Luke McCaffrey is out for the season, Treylon Burks had to have surgery after one game with the team, and McLaurin continues to deal with a quad injury.
The Commanders are already expecting to have McLaurin back against Denver in Week 13, so this unit could have its original top three receivers back soon.
