STILLWATER — New Oklahoma State football coach Eric Morris is set to earn an annual salary of $3.8 million on a five-year contract, pending the approval of the Oklahoma State/A&M Colleges Board of Regents at their regular meeting Friday.
The contract calls for a $100,000 raise annually each Feb. 1, with the deal set to expire Jan. 31, 2031, according to the board agenda documents obtained by The Oklahoman.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementThe agenda item also includes the $2,377,000 payment to be made by OSU to North Texas for the buyout of Morris’ contract with UNT.
Morris was announced as OSU’s next head coach Nov. 25 and is set to be formally introduced by the university Monday afternoon.
Morris replaces Mike Gundy who was fired Sept. 23. Gundy earned $6.875 million for the 2025 season as a result of a renegotiated contract agreed upon last December.
