Week 14 of the NFL season is here, and games begin on Thursday. In the NFC West in Week 13, the Los Angeles Rams suffered a shocking loss to the Carolina Panthers. As the No. 1 team in the NFL in last week's NFL power rankings, can they stay at the top?

We have new NFL power rankings for Week 14 from USA TODAY's Nate Davis. Where do the Rams rank? What about the rest of the NFC West?

Below, we look at the four teams in the division and where they stand comparatively with the rest of the teams in the NFL.

NFL power rankings in Week 14 and the NFC West

LA Rams (No. 1 overall)

Yeah, they lost … on the East Coast … in a rain storm … QB Matthew Stafford uncharacteristically throwing as many interceptions (2) in the first quarter as he had all season entering Sunday. Maybe the only concerning red flag here was how the defense was gashed on the ground by Carolina. Otherwise? We're giving LA a mulligan on this one.

It snapped a six-game winning streak, but they now can bounce back in Week 14 as they face the 3-9 Cardinals. The loss didn't change anything in the division standings. Their head-to-head win over Seattle keeps them in the driver's seat, althoug they did drop from the No. 1 seed in the NFC.

Seattle Seahawks (No. 3 overall)

"We're super happy to have the best defense in the world," WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba (23 receiving yards) said on his quietest day of the season. But how far can it carry the 'Hawks if the offense continues to disappear?

Did the offense disappear? They only had 262 yards and scored only one offensive touchdown, but they did beat the Minnesota Vikings 26-0 and held the Vikes to only 162 yards, so perhaps we don't need to worry much. They fell one spot from the No. 2 spot they occupied last week.

San Francisco 49ers (No. 10 overall)

They'll only leave Silicon Valley once more in the regular season and, at 9-4, the Niners are very much in the mix to snag home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs.

They moved up four spots from No. 14. And while they are third in the division, their division record (4-1) and conference record (8-2) will pose problems for other teams if tiebreakers come into play.

Arizona Cardinals (No. 22 overall)

When was the last time a tight end, Trey McBride in this case, had more yards from scrimmage and touchdowns than a team's top two running backs … combined?

They fell a spot after their 20-17 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They outgained the Bucs by 106 yards. They are 1-6 with Jacoby Brissett as a starter, and in those games, two losses were by three scores. In the other four, the Cardinals had the ball at the end of the game with a chance to win the game and failed every time.
