Spartans top rated DB officially signs with MSU

Michigan State has secured a signature from the highest ranked defensive back in their 2026 recruiting class, according to 247Sports' rankings.

KJ Deriso, a standout at Fayetteville (GA) Whitewater High School, is ranked as an 89-rated prospect -- the highest rated three-star there can be. A 6-foot-1, 165 pound cornerback, the Spartans beat out Kentucky, Louisville and UCF for the initial commitment in June.

On Wednesday, Deriso made his decision to go to Michigan State official, signing a national letter of intent with the Spartans.
