By Cole SullivanShareNewsweek is a Trust Project memberWith the college football regular season wrapped up, the stage is set for several highly anticipated conference championship showdowns this weekend.
One of the most intriguing matchups is the Big Ten Championship between the No. 1 Ohio State Buckeyes (12-0) and the No. 2 Indiana Hoosiers (12-0).
According to DraftKings Sportsbook, the over/under is set at 47.5, with Ohio State favored by 5.5 points at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
On Wednesday, during the latest episode of the "Triple Option" podcast, legendary coach and current Big Noon Kickoffanalyst Urban Meyer shared his prediction for Saturday night’s showdown.
"I know these teams really well... we covered them both. You always look at matchups, and it's just minuses right across the board as far as matchups... and you know how I feel about Fernando Mendoza. I hate to say it, he had some bad games," Meyer said. "So it opened at 5 1/2 now it's at 4 1/2—Ohio State will cover that one. They're going to win the Big Ten Championship and cover that spread."

Urban Meyer’s prediction may carry some bias toward Ohio State, where he coached for seven seasons and helped lead the Buckeyes to one national championship and three Big Ten titles before stepping down and handing the program over to Ryan Day.
That said, Saturday’s matchup features stellar quarterback play from Indiana’s Fernando Mendoza and Ohio State’s Julian Sayin, both currently among the top favorites for the Heisman Trophy, which could play a significant role in the game’s outcome.
Ohio State last won the Big Ten title in 2020, while Indiana has not claimed the conference crown since 1967. Their last outright title came in 1945, making this a massive opportunity for Curt Cignetti and the Hoosiers to secure a program-defining victory.
