The Pittsburgh Steelers released former Philadelphia Eagles cornerback on Tuesday in a move that sums up his time in Pittsburgh. The Super Bowl champion was having a rough year in Pittsburgh, allowing 26 catches and a passer rating of 103.7, per Next Gen Stats. He was a healthy scratch in Week 13 against the Buffalo Bills, which led to he and the team mutually parting ways.

"We gonna see," Slay said with a laugh.
Rondo then told Slay he knows the Eagles want him back.
"I know they do," Slay responded. "You know I got nothing but love for my city."
It has been reported that the Eagles have interest in bringing Slay back, according to John Clark of NBC Sports.
"I’m hearing there is mutual interest with Darius Slay and the Eagles if he clears waivers," Clark reports on X.
