Happy Signing Day Husky fans. The Huskies were able to sign one of the top defensive lineman on the west cost this cycle in 4 star defensive lineman JD Hill from Mission Viejo HS, CA. Hill, who is rated as the 13th best defensive lineman by 247sports in the 2026 class, had a monster senior season with over 100 tackles and 13 sacks through 11 games. His production helped him sky rocket up the rankings and solidify himself as a 4 star prospect in the 2026 cycle (he was also named to the All American Bowl). Listed at 6’2” and around 275 pounds, Hill doesn’t have the biggest frame, but what he lacks for in length and size he makes up for in quickness and athleticism.
Hill projects as versatile defensive lineman who can line up inside or out at edge and be a disruptive force for the Huskies. The Huskies were able to beat out West Virginia for his commitment (he also held offers from Utah, SDSU, Miami, and UCLA). The Huskies are set to lose several key pieces along the defensive line after this season and Hill could come in and contribute early for the Huskies. Husky fans welcome JD to Montlake.
