Cabell made a commitment to the Crimson Tide at the end of official visit season on June 30. He had been locked in with Kalen DeBoer and Co., but Bama has reshuffled some pieces and a few of their pledges are headed elsewhere on National Signing Day. Add Cabell to the list.

Im excited to stay home and help build this team into the vision Coach Lea has for it!”
The 6-foot-3, 200-pounder is the No. 632 overall prospect and No. 93 WR in the 2026 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 19 player in Tennessee.
Cabell also took an official visit to Vandy at the end of May as the Commodores were in the thick of things in his process before he chose Bama. Clark Lea and Co. have some momentum and have now flipped the local standout, adding him to a class that’s trying to make a late push for top-25 status in the Rivals Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
Vandy made the biggest move of the entire recruiting cycle on Tuesday, flipping Nashville Christian Five-Star Plus+ quarterback Jared Curtis, the No. 3 overall prospect and No. 1 QB in the nation, away from Georgia.
