The Recruitment: Clay had been committed to Baylor since mid July, but after taking an official visit to UW for the Purdue game and then taking an unofficial for the final game of the year against Oregon, the Huskies were able to complete the flip of the talented WR. To flip a top 150 player from Texas this late is a big deal and one of the best recruiting wins of the cycle.
Roster Impact: With Denzel Boston likely headed to the NFL after the season, there is a need for a big WR. Enter, Jordan Clay. Clay should be very much involved in competing for the starting job from the moment he steps foot on campus and there is a very real possibility he starts as a true freshman.
