Nebraska added a special teams player to the 2026 recruiting class. Kicker Michael Sarikizis joins the Huskers from Prokick Australia.

ProKick Australia is the same program that developed punter Archie Wilson. This is the second Australian-based special-teams player that coach Mike Ekeler has brought into the program.

Sarikizis is new to football but has an extensive soccer background. This could help create competition for the program at the kicking spot.

Charlotte transfer Kyle Cunanan has been kicking for Nebraska this season. The sophomore was 16-for-19 on field goals, with a long of 52.

Sarikizis could be viewed as a long-term option for the program at the kicking position, and he will have the chance to develop under a Broyles Award nominee in Ekeler.
