LOS ANGELES, CA -- The Women of Troy continue their string of dominance as they notch their third consecutive win with a lopsided 46-point victory over St. Mary's Gaels. The Women of Troy were just one point away from making it three straight games of scoring 80 points or more, but got the job done with a final score of 79-33 at the Galen Center.

"Our players moved that ball great, turned it over minimally, got to the right shot, people knocked down shots, and then obviously, holding a team to 33 points is exceptional, but we're still getting better," USC Women's Basketball Head Coach Lindsay Gottlieb said on the performance the Women of Troy displayed in their lopsided win.

It was all USC in the first half as Kara Dunn led the charge offensively with 11 points on 3-4 shooting, going 2-3 from three-point range, and notching 4 rebounds. With her production alongside Jazzy Davidson, who had 7 points on 3-9 shooting, and Londynn Jones with 9 first-half points on 3-6 shooting, USC had an early dominating lead of 42-18 going into halftime.

Notably, Davidson had a career high of 6 assists in this win, and with the amount of games she plays increasing, the more you can see her passing progressing more efficiently, and she credits that to her teammates being shot makers first.

"My teammates are shotmakers, so that really helps a lot, but playing with great players makes it really easy to get those assists, so credit to them," Davidson said on how she's been racking up her assists total more frequently as more games pass.

The second half of play for the Women of Troy was just as effective as the first half, as USC found itself cruising with a 21-0 run and finishing the game on a 12-2 run. Jones had herself 8 second-half points, and overall, she finished her night with a season-best 17 points on 5-12 shooting and 3-7 from three-point range.

Coach Gottlieb also made it a point of preference that practices leading up to their game against St.Mary's have been competitive, and Dunn notes that it is a huge chemistry boost that translates to the court.

"Like Coach Lindsay said it today, she could see a difference in practice; our energy is feeding off each other in practice, in what we do on defense, so it's really exciting," Dunn said on the effectiveness of the Women of Troy's practices.

With the Women of Troy cruising to a 6-2 record, they remain home this Sunday as they are set to face off against No.21 Washington.
