Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green has been known to ruffle some feathers with his takes on modern basketball, but his latest take will surely draw the support of Miami Heat fans.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementHeat legend Dwyane Wade has long been the subject of debate amongst the all-time great shooting guards in NBA history. On his latest episode of The Draymond Green Show, Green says he is taking Wade over current Los Angeles Clippers guard James Harden.
“The reason I’m going to pick D Wade, A, he won championships as Finals MVP carrying a team in his 3rd year,” Green said. “Also because if Harden stayed a 2 guard, his career isn’t necessarily what it is.”
Harden and Wade’s resumes stack up pretty closely. Both are 8-time All-NBA selections, Harden has made 11 All-Star appearances to Wade’s 13, and both have won scoring titles in their careers.
The main difference in their bodies of work comes from championships, where Wade’s three rings proves much more superior to Harden, who only has one Finals appearance to his name — with the 2012 Oklahoma City Thunder — and no championships to boot.

For now, it seems like Wade’s legacy is still going strong, and continues to have the support of other all-time greats such as Draymond Green.
