The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed an immensely talented cornerback from their practice squad to the active roster ahead of the Week 14 matchup versus the Baltimore Ravens.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported on Tuesday that the Steelers had signed Samuel to the active roster off their practice squad and released veteran CB Darius Slay Jr. to make room.

Selected by the Los Angeles Chargers with the 47th overall pick in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft, Samuel spent four seasons with the Bolts before testing free agency this past offseason. While a spinal fusion surgery delayed his signing, he ultimately decided to join Pittsburgh once cleared for football activity.
