Tennessee football dropped out of the College Football Playoff rankings released on Dec. 2 after a 45-24 loss to Vanderbilt.
The Vols were ranked No. 19 in the CFP poll before the Vanderbilt game.
The CFP selection committee ranked the Top 25 teams for the 12-team playoff format. The final rankings and CFP field will be announced on Dec. 7.

Tennessee (8-4, 4-4 SEC) awaits its bowl bid, which will be announced on Dec. 7.
Tennessee is ranked No. 24 in the US LBM Coaches Poll and not ranked in the AP Top 25, which were released on Nov. 30.
