The Wisconsin Badgers had a commitment, and then they didn’t. In a turn of events, Grand Valley State defensive lineman Jibriel Conde has flipped his commitment from Wisconsin to the Kansas Jayhawks just days after pledging to the Badgers.
Conde, a sophomore this season, was the latest in the pipeline of Grand Valley State players transferring to Wisconsin, joining cornerback Nyzier Fourqurean and defensive lineman Jay’Viar Suggs, as well as outside linebackers coach Matt Mitchell.

At 6’5, 290 pounds, Conde was expected to add depth to Wisconsin’s defensive line room, which is losing a number of seniors this offseason. Instead, two days after committing to Wisconsin, he is heading to Kansas with two years of eligibility remaining.
That leaves Wisconsin with one transfer in its class so far: linebacker Taylor Schaefer, who committed to the Badgers over the weekend.
There’s a ton of work to do as the portal begins to open up later next month, and Wisconsin is already getting involved with some D-II and junior college players. We’ll see what goes on over the next few weeks, but Conde won’t be a part of that.
