The Los Angeles Rams' six-game winning streak was snapped by the unlikely Carolina Panthers on Sunday, a surprising 31-28 loss on the road by the NFC West leaders. Despite the disappointing result, it wasn't a terrible game by the Rams – especially when it comes to the offense.
The defense needs to be significantly better, though. Here's how we graded each position in the Rams' narrow loss to the Panthers in Week 13.

This was Matthew Stafford's worst game of the year. He threw two interceptions, each of which cost the Rams points. The first took at least a field goal off the board for the Rams and the second handed the Panthers a touchdown with a 48-yard pick-six. His fumble at the end of the game was crushing, too, eliminating any chance of the Rams trying a game-tying field goal.
Running back: A-
Kyren Williams and Blake Corum both ran well in this one, but Corum was especially impressive. He showed good juice through the hole and bounced a nice run for a 34-yard gain, while also powering across the goal line on a hard-earned touchdown run.

Puka Nacua made one of the best catches of the year deep down the left side and Davante Adams scored two more touchdowns, giving him 14 on the year. They did exactly what you'd expect them to, and Xavier Smith chipped in with three catches for a game-high 82 yards.
Tight end: B
Terrance Ferguson could've scored a touchdown if he and Stafford were on the same page in the red zone, but the rookie continued his route instead of sitting down. Colby Parkinson caught four passes for 27 yards and Davis Allen had one catch for only 4 yards.
Offensive line: A-
Outside of the sack Steve Avila allowed to Derrick Brown on the Rams' final drive, the line played well. Protection was good in the passing game and there were big holes on the ground, as well.

Poona Ford played limited snaps but was relatively effective in the loss. Braden Fiske also had a great game but outside of that, the defensive line was abysmal against the run. The Panthers' offensive line got good push on seemingly every rushing attempt, controling the line of scrimmage throughout.
Inside linebacker: C+
Nate Landman and Omar Speights needed to be better in this one against a team that was incredibly run-heavy – something the Rams knew would be the case before kickoff. However, there were too big of running lanes and Landman and Speights didn't do enough to clean things up on the second level.

Jared Verse and the pass rush as a whole need to improve, though it's difficult against teams that get the ball out so quickly. Against the run, there's also room for improvement, needing to stay much more disciplined on the edge to prevent runs from being bounced outside.
Cornerback: C-
The Rams' corners will want to forget this one. Emmanuel Forbes Jr. gave up 110 yards on five catches with two long touchdowns allowed on fourth down. Cobie Durant struggled, as well, allowing far too much separation to receivers on the inside.
Safety: B
Kamren Curl had an uncharacteristic missed tackle but otherwise played well. Kamren Kinchens missed tackles twice but Jaylenn McCollough played relatively well as the third safety.

Ronnie Rivers opened the game with a good 46-yard return to set up the first touchdown, but other than that, it was a quiet day from the special teams group; Harrison Mevis didn't attempt a a field goal and made four PATs.
