Xbox Game Pass is back at it again, this time kicking off December with a new day-one release for its subscribers. It doesn't just stop there, though, as several new titles are coming to Game Pass this month, ending 2025 with a bang.
Thanks to the official News page for Xbox, we already know of a few games coming to the service this month. And while there's sure to be more additions on the way, Game Pass members can celebrate already thanks to the day-one release of Marvel Cosmic Invasion, which releases today — December 1, 2025.
Marvel Cosmic Invasion Hits Game Pass Today
Marvel Cosmic Invasion lets you choose between fifteen classic Marvel heroes in a beat ‘em up that pits you against the Annihilation Wave. Stages include New York City, the Negative Zone, and more, as you attempt to save the galaxy. For Marvel fans, it's a must-play with a really cool retro vibe. So, it's great that it's arriving day one on Game Pass.
Even if Marvel isn't your thing, if you've been yearning for classic beat 'em ups, it's worth checking out — especially if you're already subscribed. Marvel Cosmic Invasion is a nice day-one release, but it's really just icing on the cake for what's shaping up to be a nice month for Xbox Game Pass.
Xbox Game Pass Is Stacked Right Now
Put simply, Xbox Game Pass is stacked right now. November saw a number of day-one releases, including major games like Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, and October was no different, with Outer Worlds 2 leading the pack. The excellent Hollow Knight: Silksong, which was arguably the most high profile release of the year, was another day-one release back in September.
And this doesn't even include releases that came out earlier in the year but are still a part of the service. GOTY contender Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was a day-one release you can still check out right now, for example.
All of this has culminated in a big year for Xbox Game Pass. Marvel Cosmic Invasion is just the latest in a long line of big day-one games. If you're subscribed to the service already, then it's definitely worth checking out this new beat 'em up with a cast of great Marvel characters. You can see for yourself what the game has to offer — and it's at no extra charge if you subscribe already.
