To say things have hit a boiling point with Pittsburgh Steelers fans when it comes to head coach Mike Tomlin would be an understatement.

During the team's latest abysmal loss on Sunday to the Buffalo Bills, "fire Tomlin" chants could be heard across Acrisure Stadium.

"I share their frustration tonight. We didn’t do enough," Tomlin said of the chants after the loss to Buffalo, according to ESPN's Brooke Pryor.

But some Steelers fans are taking it a step further, as someone has actually started a petition on Change.org calling for Tomlin to step down as head coach.

"We thank Coach Tomlin for his years of service, but for the future of the franchise we love, we call for his retirement from the position of Head Coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers," the petition states.

As of this writing, the petition has gained nearly 2,700 verified signatures.

It's certainly understandable why Steelers fans are upset.

The Steelers once again look like an average-at-best team in 2025 and the streak of not winning a single playoff game is likely to stay intact after what we've seen this season.

Hell, at this point, the Steelers will be fortunate to make the playoffs at all, as they are now dead-even with the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC North and are sitting in the ninth spot in the AFC playoff picture.

Barring a miraculous run, what the Steelers badly need to do after this season is hit the reset button, which starts with parting ways with Tomlin and getting younger all over.

Whether or not the Steelers will actually do that remains to be seen, though. If what has transpired since 2017 isn't enough, we're not sure what is going to be.
