Ibrahima Konaté is heading into the final few months of his Liverpool contract without an extension in place, sparking talk about where he might land next, with PSG closely watching developments.
Foot Mercato previously reported that several top European clubs, including PSG, Real Madrid, and Barcelona, have shown interest. Last summer, Liverpool chose to keep Konaté rather than entertain offers.

PSG, however, remain interested, and Konaté still has the option to negotiate a new contract with Liverpool.
The Athletic recently added that Real Madrid’s long-term pursuit seems to have cooled, apparently due to Konaté’s inconsistent performances under Arne Slot.

Liverpool remain active in discussions with Konaté’s representatives, and after Real Madrid’s recent move, many anticipated a new contract at Anfield would be finalized.

“Liverpool remain committed to re-signing Ibrahima Konaté if terms can be agreed,” reported O’Connor (h/t TEAMtalk). Konaté’s deal runs out at the end of the season, and he is expected to explore his options in January, when he is free to speak to foreign clubs.

“Real Madrid have been among the teams interested in signing Konaté on a free transfer – but there are reports that the interest is subsiding. Liverpool will only agree terms with Konaté if they are in keeping with their wage structure and they are also exploring the market for potential replacements.”

Bayern Munich also have an interest in Guehi, but re-signing Dayot Upamacano – another top centre-back who is out of contract in June 2026 – is their current priority.“
