(LANDOVER, MD) — The Denver Broncos have now won nine straight games defeating the Washington Commanders 27-20 in overtime. R.J. Harvey leading the Denver offense with two rushing touchdowns while Bo Nix threw for 315 yards and a touchdown.

The Broncos led in the final minute of regulation before Washington drove into Denver territory to kick a 32-yard field goal to send the game to overtime. From there, the Broncos marched right down the field and capped off a touchdown drive with Harvey’s second score of the game.

The Commanders would respond with a touchdown drive of their own but decided to go for a two-point conversion to win the game. Mariota’s pass attempt was blocked by Denver’s Nik Bonitto to give the Broncos their ninth straight win.

Denver reclaims the top spot in the AFC as of Sunday night. The Broncos now have back-to-back ten-win seasons for the first time since doing it in 2014 and 2015. The Broncos will remain on the road next week when visiting the Division rival Raiders looking for their tenth straight victory.
