Rams-Cardinals opening odds Week 14

The Los Angeles Rams are 7.5-point favorites against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 14, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. L.A. swept the Cardinals last season and has a chance to do it against backup Jacoby Brissett and embattled head coach Jonathan Gannon.

The Rams are coming off a horrible loss at Carolina, where Matthew Stafford and the defense coughed up a chance to pull off the comeback in a 31-28 stunner. Despite the loss, Los Angeles should rebound against a divisional opponent who has no idea how to close out a game.

Arizona will be a tough out, much as they have been all season. Brissett has seemingly outperformed primary starter Kyler Murray and should keep the Redbirds in the game until the very end. With the Cards officially eliminated from playoff contention, they will be playing spoiler the rest of the way, not great news for a Rams team with championship aspirations.

However, the Cardinals are 2-7 in one-possession games this year. So even if they manage to keep things close against the Rams, L.A. will likely find a way to do what AZ hasn’t been able to do, and that’s win a tight one. Don’t be surprised if either team covers the spread in Week 14.
