Josh Minott has been an early success story for the Boston Celtics. The athletic forward signed with the franchise during the summer after three seasons with the Minnesota Timberwolves, where he struggled to earn consistent playing time under Chris Finch. Fortunately for Minott, the Celtics had plenty of minutes to spare at the power forward position this season, primarily due to Jayson Tatum's absence with a torn Achilles tendon.
Minott has played in 18 games for the Celtics over the opening month of the season, splitting his time between the starting lineup and the second unit. In those outings, he's averaging 7.6 points, 5 rebounds and 1.3 assists, shooting 51.5% from the field and 42.9% from deep. His athleticism and switchable defense have been key factors in his early success within Joe Mazzulla's new-look system.

The dup explored Minott's game on both sides of the ball, the competition he faces from rookie Hugo Gonzalez and fellow explosive young wing Jordan Walsh.
