NFL world reacts to Falcons' heartbreaking 27-24 loss to Jets

After instilling some hope by ending a five-game losing streak in Week 12, the Atlanta Falcons lost a heartbreaker to the New York Jets in Week 13 to fall to 4-8 on the season. Jets kicker Nick Folk sent a 56-yard field goal through the uprights to pull off the 27-24 victory as time expired.

As is so often the case in close games like this, there were many opportunities for the Falcons to pull away. However, special-teams woes, questionable coaching decisions and multiple dropped passes in what was a solid performance from quarterback Kirk Cousins, ultimately sealed the team's demise.

Atlanta missed a field goal, muffed a kickoff and gave up an 80-yard kick return immediately after taking a 24-17 lead in the fourth quarter. Fans have had about enough of this dreadful season.
