INGLEWOOD, California — The Los Angeles Chargers got an early injury scare during their Nov. 30 game against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Quarterback Justin Herbert went to the locker room after the Chargers’ opening series. Herbert injured his left hand during the Chargers’ 14-play, 74-yard touchdown drive to start the game.

Herbert went into the locker room with trainers late in the first quarter after the Chargers scored.

Chargers backup quarterback Trey Lance took over as the team took the field in the second series.

The Chargers later announced Herbert was questionable to return with a left hand injury.

The Chargers franchise quarterback checked back in with a white glove on his left hand early in the second quarter as the crowd cheered his return.

The Chargers are already without starting running back Omarion Hampton (ankle) who is on injured reserve. Both tackles Rashawn Slater (knee) and Joe Alt (ankle) are out for the year.
