The Golden State Warriors signed Seth Curry to a training camp deal during the summer. However, they waived the sharpshooting veteran ahead of the new season due to financial reasons. The plan was always to bring Curry back before the end of the year, as his pro-rata salary would then fit within the team's available budget.
According to a Nov. 30 report from ESPN's Shams Charania, Golden State is expected to re-sign Curry on Monday, Dec. 1. The decision will unite both Stephen Curry and Seth for the first time in their careers. Furthermore, Seth will give the Warriors another sharpshooter to lean on, as they look to find some rhythm after a difficult start to the year.
"The Golden State Warriors will unite the Curry brothers as initially planned by signing veteran guard Seth Curry to a contract for the remainder of the season Monday, sources told ESPN," Charania wrote. "Warriors are hard-capped at the second apron, which meant they could keep only 14 players entering the season to create enough prorated breathing space to add Seth Curry in the vacant 15th slot."
Last season, Curry played in 68 games for the Charlotte Hornets, averaging 6.5 points and 1.7 rebounds, shooting 45.6% from deep on 2.7 attempts per game. He will likely get better quality looks with the Warriors due to their style of play, the depth of talent and of course, the overall floor spacing.

Stephen Curry is currently sidelined with a left quad strain, although he is expected to be reevaluated in the near future and could return to the rotation by mid-December.
